I made a list of the best little plastic tricycles that are commonly called "Big Wheels". There is only one original Big Wheel, but some of the other styles.

Most often used as a learner bike for little kids, the Yamaha BW80 is fondly remembered by those who learned how to ride on it in the late 80s. The 79cc engine was a reed induction 2-stroke. It had a 3-speed transmission with an auto clutch, and the fat tires made it incredibly easy to ride on any terrain.

The Big Wheel came out in 1985 and they offered three different sizes, this BW200 is the mama bear and/or Jan Brady (i.e., middle) offering. The smallest was a two-stroke 80 cc version, then this four-stroke 200 cc and a bigger 350 cc four-stroke big wheel.

We went down in big wheels, bicycles, the Knight Rider pedal-powered car, the Little Tykes cozy coupe, a Radio Flyer wagon, rollerblades. it's a miracle we didn't break anything.. I've yet to find the big wheel I owned in the mid 80s. It had a water gun built in, and the front wheel had fire stickers in between the "spokes".
