This Rolls-Royce known as the "Round Door" Rolls-Royce Phantom was delivered new in 1925 with a Hooper Cabriolet body to its first owner, a Mrs. Hugh Dillman of Detroit. In 1934 a subsequent owner sent the luxury car to Belgium to be fitted with twin sunroofs, round doors, a large fin, and a sloping radiator shell.

The Rolls-Royce build documents for this Phantom I, right-hand drive chassis number 101RC, note that it was supplied with an Enclosed Cabriolet body by Hooper to Anthony Hordern at the Hyde Park Hotel, who placed his order through Rootes Ltd. of New Bond Street and took final delivery on 12 February 1926.
